Oklahoma Municipal Judges Association
The Scholarship for the OMJA Fall Conference was implemented for non-lawyer attorneys that do not receive reimbursement from their respective municipalities. The recipient will receive reimbursement from the Oklahoma Municipal Judges Association after selection is made at the 2019 OMJA Fall Conference. The deadline to submit scholarship applications is Friday, October 18, 2019. Applications can be sent to the Oklahoma Municipal Judges Association at 201 NE 23rdStreet. Oklahoma City, OK 73105 or by email to Aspen Roberts at email@example.com
OMJA has presumptive approval of the Oklahoma Bar Association to offer workshops that fulfill Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements. Municipal judges who maintain CLE may issue higher fines than those who do not — an advantage to their city or town. Designed specifically by and for municipal judges, the OMJA workshops are highly effective at targeting the issues unique to the municipal courtroom. There are two OMJA-sponsored conferences each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. There is an annual membership fee of $50. Conference fees are paid separately.
