OMJA Listserv

 OMJA Listserv Email Group

The OMJA listserv is an email group designed for OMJA members to collaboratively problem-solve by posing questions to fellow members, network, and share resources and example documents.  Additionally, OML will distribute information relevant to municipal courts, including changes of law and notices of OMJA training opportunities to this email group.  To request to be added to the group, email the OMJA liaison Jenny Morris at Jenny@oml.org

SENDING AN EMAIL AND LISTSERVE DETAILS:

When you send an email to the OMJA listserv, it will be delivered to every member of the group. Responses can be sent directly to the person who asked the questions or shared with the entire group. You can also view previous conversations,  attachments, and other helpful documents on the group gaggle page as the quick start guide explains. If you would like to submit a question anonymously, please email it to Christian@oml.org. The question will then be sent to the group without identifying which municipal judge submitted it.

TERMS OF USE

By using the OMJA Listserv, all participants acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1.  Users acknowledge and agree that judges are allowed to consult with other judges, and law teachers under rule 2.9 of the Oklahoma code of judicial conduct provided the judge makes reasonable efforts to avoid receiving factual information that is not part of the record and do not abrogate the responsibility personally to decide the matter.   Additionally, users agree to not make inappropriate comments  or  violate other applicable rules and laws.

2. By participating, users claim that they are currently appointed as an Oklahoma municipal judge. If a user is longer a municipal judge, the user should unsubscribe from the OMJA Listserv.

2. Users agree that the primary purpose of the listserv is to provide a forum for participants to share general legal information and thoughts pertaining to Oklahoma municipal court matters.

4. Users acknowledge and agree that all emails sent on the listserv are not confidential and the primary purpose of the listserv is to share legal information and opinions pertaining to municipal court matters.

5. Users assume individual responsibility for their comments and agree that violation of the stated terms of use can result in their removal from the listserv.

6. The comments expressed by users are solely those of the author and are not those of the OMJA Board of Directors or the staff of OML.
