2026 Winner of the George Wilkinson Award Goes to Mickie Parks of Woodward

Jodi Cox, Executive Director, and CEO of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund (OkMRF) attended the City of Woodward’s council meeting on August 17, 2026; to present the George Wilkinson annual award to this year's outstanding Authorized Agent whose performance of duties is exemplary.

Cox explained to the Woodward City Council that George Wilkinson showed true dedication and served on the OkMRF Board of Trustees for thirty-four (34) years.  He acted with the utmost of honor and integrity.  His primary focus was to always be mindful of the plan participant's best interest.  Mr. Wilkinson retired from the OkMRF Board in 2016 and was named Trustee Emeritus.  Sadly, George passed away in January of 2017.  Cox stated, “In my heart, I know that our beloved George will continue to keep a watchful eye over our organization forevermore!” 

This year’s recipient was selected from a pool of 265 state-wide Authorized Agent candidates. 

With great pleasure OkMRF announced that the 2026 George Wilkinson award winner for most outstanding Authorized Agent in the State goes to Woodward Human Resource Director, Mickie Parks.  Mickie portrays all of Wilkinson’s attributes.  She consistently treats her coworkers with the highest regard and is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service. Mickie diligently oversees Woodward’s retirement plans provided to their employees. Her kindness and dedication to the welfare of her employees have rightfully earned her this esteemed award!
