MCO has developed several programs to educate and encourage mayors, including:

Mayors Summer Conference: The conference is an excellent opportunity to network, participate in educational sessions and tours.

Congress of Mayors: The goal of this Congress is to give municipal leaders  a better understanding of the legislative process as well as provide them the opportunity to interact with their colleagues and lawmakers to get a realistic understanding of state issues. 

OML Annual Conference: September 11-13, 2018 Visit the conference website for more information! Each year at the conference, MCO holds their Annual Breakfast and a guest speaker addresses the audience regarding common issues that all cities and towns face no matter how big or small. The Mayor of the Year awards for Large and Small towns are also announced.

Municipal Government Day at the Capitol: Plan now to attend this popular event that will take place at the Oklahoma State Capitol. Hosted by OML and the Mayors Council of Oklahoma, you will have the opportunity to network with other municipal officials, hear the latest information on legislative issues, visit with your legislative representatives about municipal issues and meet the student winner of the “If I Were Mayor” essay contest. This event is free for OML members and lunch will be served.
