Requirements: Valid driver’s license, any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, and six years of increasingly responsible command and supervisory experience in an organized fire department. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in fire science, public administration or a closely related field is preferred. All candidates must successfully complete the CPAT (CPAT is not required for members currently in the Oklahoma Firefighter Retirement System). Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements of the Oklahoma Firefighter Pension and Retirement System and pass an extensive background check prior to employment. Salary Range: $122,574.40- $161,532.80 annually plus a comprehensive benefits package is available including health, dental, vision, life, and retirement options. A completed City of Stillwater application is required for consideration, resume and cover letter are required.
