Oklahoma Municipal League Lauds the Passage of the BUILD Act
The Oklahoma Municipal League wants to thank Governor Kevin Stitt and the Oklahoma House and Senate for passing and signing the Building Useful Infrastructure for Local Development (BUILD) Act into law.
The BUILD Act offers municipalities across the state the ability to create new housing opportunities by allowing the burden of infrastructure costs to be paid by builders and investors while maintaining local control.
“We appreciate Governor Stitt and the Oklahoma State Legislature for their work on this important issue,” said Mike Fina, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Municipal League. “Oklahoma’s cities and towns face serious funding challenges when it comes to maintaining and improving infrastructure. The BUILD Act will be another tool in the municipal tool box that allows us to grow our municipalities and helps strengthen the State of Oklahoma.”
The Oklahoma Municipal League is the authoritative source for information, training, and resources on effective local government for member organizations and is recognized as the unified voice of Oklahoma cities and towns. Learn more at www.OML.org
