WHAT IS THE PLACEMAKING CONFERENCE?
The Placemaking Conference, a signature program of the Institute for Quality Communities at the University of Oklahoma Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture, is a biennial event inviting students, advocates, professionals, and civic leaders to learn from experts on topics and techniques in community development. Through lectures from the likes of Candy Chang, Victor Dover, Toni Griffin, Fred Kent, Rick Lowe, Jeff Speck and dozens of others, the Placemaking Conference has built a rich legacy of bringing students, designers, planners, and advocates into conversation with leading voices in the field.
