2020 Census Information

It is important that we get every Oklahoman counted in the 2020 Census. Getting an accurate count of our state’s residents means making sure we get the right amount of federal funding for things like schools, disaster recovery, health clinics, and local infrastructure such as roads and bridges. Oklahoma is approximately 100,000 people away from getting additional federal representation in Congress.

El Reno Mayor White Provides Strong Leadership During Challenging Times

A fourth generation El Reno citizen, White said his work as mayor is built on the love he has for his hometown, population 19,000. The self described “classic El Reno guy” was elected to his fifth term in November and said he credits the victory to his ability to connect with El Reno residents who span the gamut from rough-and-tumble farmers to corporate titans working in downtown Oklahoma City, which is 25 miles east.

Institute of Quality Communities (IQC) extends grant application deadline to May 8th

Since 2008, the Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma has been working with Oklahoma communities, through their Institute of Quality Communities program to help deliver environments that foster the quality of life that generations before took for granted.  In working with communities, IQC students evaluate and provide possible solutions in areas of revitalizing Main Street, public spaces, walkability issues, and many more.

-       Clermont-Ferrand, France (relationship started in 1987 and agreement signed in 1994)

-       Colima, Mexico (relationship started in 1995 and agreement signed in 1997)

-       Seika, Japan (relationship started in 1996 and agreement signed in 2005)

-       Arezzo, Italy (agreement signed in 2011)
