The City of Tahlequah is seeking a motivated and collaborative professional to serve as its Director of Planning and Development. This position leads and supports the City’s comprehensive and long-range planning efforts, land use and zoning initiatives, community development projects, and grant writing and administration.

The Director works closely with the Mayor, City Administrator, City Council, Planning Commission, City staff, residents, developers, and regional and state agencies to guide responsible growth and support Tahlequah’s future development. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience in planning or community development, and the ability to build positive relationships while advancing the City’s goals. The salary range is $56,000–$82,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
