The Chandler Municipal Golf Course is recognized as one of the most challenging and fun 9-hole courses in the state. The course measures 6,364 yards and includes two par 3’s and two par 5’s.

• Blue Markers-6,364 yards, 69.7.
• White Markers-6,092 yards, 75.9.
• Red Markers-5,026 yards, 64.0.

JOB SUMMARY
The City of Chandler Golf Superintendent oversees the efficient maintenance and operation of the city's golf course. This role involves managing groundskeeping activities, ensuring course quality, supervising staff, and coordinating with other departments. The Golf Superintendent plays a vital role in providing a high-quality recreational experience for residents and visitors. Work is performed under the administrative direction of the Public Works Director and is reviewed through performance reviews and results obtained.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education. Minimum of three years of experience in golf course operations required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of turf management practices, agronomy, and landscaping techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally in English.
• Proficiency in budget management, equipment operation, and staff supervision.

COMPENSATION
The annual salary range for this position is $55,763.10 to $67,941.92, DOE. The City pays 100% of the employee’s annual insurance premiums and offers a BB-level retirement plan through the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund. Beginning in February 2026, employees will also have an opportunity to designate additional payroll deductions toward an optional OkMRF non-deductible contribution plan which is entirely voluntary.
