The Town of Kiefer is looking for a highly motivated Town Administrator that will continue with the Town’s progress and that has a forward-thinking vision. Other needed attributes are:
•Knowledge of operations of a variety of municipal service
departments.
•Knowledge of federal, state and local statutes, ordinances and
regulations affecting municipalities.
•Knowledge of principles of management and supervision.
•Skill in effective oral and written communications
•Skill in gathering and organizing information and preparing
reports.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with employees and elected officials.
•Ability to make decisions using good judgment and assume
responsibility for their impact
•Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable.
•Must be bondable.
•Knowledge of operations of and information related to a
privately-owned gas system.
•Knowledge of workings of a privately-owned sewer system.
•Knowledge of privately-owned sanitation services.

Duties include:
Responsible for preparation of Board of Trustee agenda once a month, including drafting of items, editing of items by other departments and review of council meeting minutes.

Attends Board of Trustee meetings once a month and other council meetings and work sessions as necessary to provide managerial staff support.

Coordinates follow-up actions from Board of Trustee meetings.
Attends meetings of internal and external committees and organizations, including managers’ meetings, departmental staff meetings, and various project-oriented meetings.

Responds to questionnaires, surveys and other requests for information from the public, government agencies, Board of Trustees and others.

Performs other duties as required by Board of Trustees.


This position will remain open until a new Town Administrator has been hired.
