The City of Yale is currently seeking applications for a Utility Director. Applicants must be able to climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds and work in a safe manner as to protect themselves and their fellow workers. Position requires supervision of staff within the sewer, water, gas and electric departments. Applicant must be willing and able to obtain a Class D Water and Wastewater license within 6 months; must be willing to train and learn lineman duties; applicant must also possess a valid OK driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 90 days. Position is responsible for all compliance reporting to ODEQ regarding water and wastewater, OCC regarding federal gas regulations, street and sidewalk maintenance, training of staff for all utility departments, Okie-811 reporting and any other duties as assigned by the City Manager. Electrical experience is preferred but not required. Pre-employment drug testing is required, this includes marijuana as the City of Yale operates a federally regulated gas system.
