Wayfair the Supreme Court ruled that states and local governments can require vendors with no physical presence in the state to collect sales tax. According to the Court, in a 5-4 decision, "economic and virtual contacts" are enough to create a "substantial nexus" with the state allowing the state to require collection.

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court by a vote of 5-4 overturned the Quill case which prevented the collection of sales tax on out-of-state vendors who had no physical presence in the state.

The League is assisting the ABLE Commission by sharing information to help alleviate a backlog of interim alcohol license applications. Currently, there are a number of pending applications that cannot be processed by ABLE until municipalities issue the applicant a Certificate of Compliance.
