The Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) has announced that the Oklahoma based Folds of Honor is the organization selected to be the recipient of the funds raised from the 2nd annual OML Beer, Wine and Gift Card Pull, which will be held on Wednesday, September 18, during the annual conference.
Folds of Honor is a 501C-3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational scholarships to the families of fallen heroes.
Founded in 2007 by Oklahoman Major Dan Rooney, the organization has granted nearly 16,000 scholarships to the Children’s Fund as well as the Higher Education fund.
How can you participate in this fun and worthwhile project? There are three ways: first, you can donate Oklahoma craft beer, wine or a local gift card; secondly, you can purchase tickets to the pulls, and; thirdly, you donate the items and purchase a ‘pull’ opportunity.
One hundred percent of the funds raised during this event will be donated to the Folds of Honor organization.
Cost of the ‘pull’ tickets are: $10 for the craft beer, $20 for the wine, and $20 for a gift card.
If you are a business and donate either craft beer, wine, or gift card, your company’s name will appear in the OML conference program, event app, and on the event website.
You may drop off your donation to the OML office, located at 201 N.E. 23rd ST, Oklahoma City, 73105 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, no later than September 13.
If you choose to take your donation to the conference, please have it to the OML Okie-Opolis booth no later than noon on Wednesday, September 18.
If you need have someone pick-up your donation, please contact Ginny Wilson, 405.528.7515, to arrange a time and location.
OML is very excited to be supporting the Folds of Honor organization and look forward to your participation.
