This position is located in the Personnel Operations Division of the Personnel Department with The City of Oklahoma City, and is under the direction of an immediate supervisor. The Training Technician must apply knowledge and skills acquired prior to assuming the position. Essential job functions include: identifying short-term and long-term organizational/employee training/succession planning needs and developing action plans to meet those needs; developing, presenting, and evaluating the overall effectiveness of course curriculum; developing Requests for Proposals for employee development services; maintaining training/employee development records; and compiling and assessing statistical data and reports. The position requires a prior knowledge of instructional techniques and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. The Training Technician has considerable contact with individuals at all levels of the organization and external agency representatives.
