The City Manager is appointed by and reports to the Atoka City Council. Atoka’s FY 2019 budget is approximately $2.6 million, supporting 55-60 full-time employees.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, finance, or a closely related field, Master’s degree preferred, and/or extensive experience in government management in an organization of comparable size and complexity. Qualified candidates should have considerable experience in municipal and/or governmental operations and finances, building effective relationships with elected officials, and providing organizational leadership to achieve strategic direction. Candidates must have exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
A competitive salary will be provided. Beginning salary will be negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience. The City of Atoka offers an excellent employee benefit package.
