PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR WANTED
The Town of Okeene, OK is now accepting applications for Public Works Director. Eligible applicants must be able to obtain a valid Oklahoma CDL driver license and Oklahoma Water & Wastewater licenses. Employee will be required to be “on-call” on assigned weekends and evenings. Applicant must pass all drug & alcohol screening. Applicants will answer to Town/OPWA Administrator.
The Public Works Director is responsible for the following:
1.Supervise & direct the tasks and employees of the electric distribution, water distribution, waste-water distribution systems.
2.Supervise & direct the tasks and employees of the street, drainage & park departments.
3.Supervise & direct the tasks and employees for all Town of Okeene properties including cemetery care & airport maintenance.
4.Supervise & direct the tasks and employees for Polycart & dumpster distribution, replacement and pick up.
5.Perform & stay certified in code enforcement for electric, water, sewer & mechanical codes as adopted by the Town of Okeene Trustees.
6.Perform & stay certified as a building and code enforcement officer through the State of Oklahoma for the Town of Okeene.
7.Any other reasonable task pursuant to the directions of the Town/O.P.W.A. Administrator.
