TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR - SHORT RANGE PLANNING 

The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments, the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Oklahoma City Area Regional Transportation Study (OCARTS) area, seeks a highly motivated and skilled professional to fill a key position within the Transportation & Planning Services (TPS) Division. This position is responsible for the coordination and development of regional short-range transportation planning projects and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the MPO, monitoring the expenditure of federal transportation funds in the transportation management area (TMA), and assisting with the preparation of the metropolitan transportation plan (MTP). Position requires experience and expertise with program management, professional communications, and stakeholder engagement. Makes frequent decisions of major importance to the short-range transportation planning process as these tasks are defined in the Oklahoma City Area Regional Transportation Study (OCARTS) Area Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Project Coordinator: Master’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Finance, or related field preferred, with a minimum of two years of professional experience preferably in transportation planning. Minimum starting salary $50,238, depending on experience and qualifications. 

Program Coordinator: Master’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Finance, or related field preferred, with a minimum of three years of professional experience preferably in transportation planning. Minimum starting salary $60,137, depending on experience and qualifications.
