OWRB American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant

·      With this OWRB Grant, municipalities can apply for water or wastewater funding for up to 2 million dollars.

·      OWRB held a recorded webinar on October 5th about the application process. The recording can be accessed here.

·      If you would like to apply, your municipality should start the process as soon as possible. The deadline to submit the application along with the required documents is November 30th, 2022.

ARPA Funds for Municipalities

·      Oklahoma municipalities have received over 300 million in ARPA funds specifically for municipalities. The amount each municipality has received is based on population.

·      The funding amounts for the NEU municipalities can be accessed here.

·      These ARPA funds can be used for water and wastewater projects.  Ask the officials in your municipality for further details.

Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

·      The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), appropriates $506 million to Oklahoma from the U.S. EPA for water and wastewater infrastructure over the next 5 years.

·      $409 million in Water and $97 million in Wastewater funds under the BIL will go through the drinking water and clean water state revolving funds.
