 FIRE CHIEF: The City of Broken Arrow, OK (population 93,000) is seeking applicants for Fire Chief. The Fire Chief reports to the City Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing and directing a Fire/Emergency Medical Service Department with 135 employees located at 6 stations and an operating budget of $12.3 M. The department provides fire suppression, prevention and emergency medical service. Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in fire science, public administration or a related field and 6 or more years of progressively responsible experience including experience managing and directing a municipal fire department; or, any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the job.
