CHANGES IN SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR OML BOARD MEMBERS
The OML By-Law amendments circulated to OML members during this past summer were approved. In addition to several house-keeping amendments, major changes to the by-laws were in the selection process and term limits for OML board members.

OML MEETING WITH OKMULGEE, DEQ, OWRB YIELDS INFORMATION ON WATER/ WASTEWATER STIMULUS FUNDING
A meeting was held on Jan. 27 concerning the procedures for funding automated meter reading and other potential stimulus funded projects. Discussions yielded some information that will be helpful to other municipalities that plan to apply for water or wastewater funding assistance.

What questions should OML ask the gubernatorial candidates? Let us know and we will ask them.

SECOND ROUND OF WATER/WASTEWATER STIMULUS FUNDS
There is some indication that there may be a second round of stimulus funds available to the state in early spring this year.

FOUR OKLAHOMANS TO SERVE ON NLC STEERING COMMITTEES
Our state is well represented at NLC this year with four municipal officials appointed to serve on NLC Steering Committees.

JOIN US AS WE SHOW THAT "CITIES MEAN BUSINESS"
The Day at the Capitol will be held on Monday, March 22 in the House Chambers at the State Capitol. The morning agenda will include presentations on fiscal impact legislation, collecting overdue fines via tag agents, modernizing legal notices, population limit for road repair and sales tax exemptions.

The U.S. Census can’t move forward until you mail back your census information form.

SEILING'S KAREN RIFFEL ACHIEVES MMC STATUS
Karen Riffel, administrator/assistant city clerk for the Town of Seiling has earned the Master Municipal Clerk designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
