New Cordell is located in Washita County Oklahoma. The city of New Cordell Police Department is a community police department. With the community policing environment we create an excellent relationship with the community and the police officers.  
The city of New Cordell Police department offers 100% paid health and life insurance for the employee, vacation after 1 year of employment, sick leave and 100% employer paid retirement through OMRF. 
Requirements: 
CLEET certification as a full time police officer is preferred. 
Must be at least 21 years of age 
Must have no felonies, domestic violence charges, or crimes of moral turpitude 
Must be willing to work shift work, including nights, holidays and weekends 
Highly principled ethics and moral character 
Sound judgment and ability to think quickly 
Must live within the corporate limits of New Cordell as soon as possible after hire 
Must pass an extensive background check 
Must pass pre-employment drug screening 
Must be able to work in a small city environment with multiple law enforcement agencies 
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
