Grow with Distinction as the Information Services Director for the City of Leawood, Kansas! Applications are currently being accepted for this exciting career opportunity. This position is responsible for the management of the Information Services division for the City and provides oversight and strategic direction for the day-to-day functions of a staff of three professionals as well as the long-term planning and goals for the division and the City as it relates to technology. As a member of the City’s management team, the Information Services Director attends staff meetings, works with other department heads and City officials, attends ad-hoc management committees, and Governing Body meetings.
The Information Services Director oversees the following functions:
•Hardware & Software
•Voice & Data Systems
•Video & Sound Systems
•External and Internal Website Management and Design
•Budget / Payroll Microwave
•Staff Supervision and Direction
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, public administration or similar area of study with eight years of experience required. Master’s degree in computer science, business administration, public administration or similar area of study with ten years or more of progressive experience preferred. At least five years of supervisory experience is required.
Compensation and Benefits
The City of Leawood offers a competitive pay and benefits structure. The salary range for the Information Services Director position is $100,000 - $175,000, with a starting range from $100,000 - $125,000, annually. Benefits include health, dental, vision, long-term disability, life, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave; as well as other voluntary supplemental benefits including: flexible spending account, health savings account, long-term care, short-term disability, and the option to contribute to a 401 and/or 457 plan. The Information Systems Director position is a covered position under the state’s retirement system, Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS).
