Lubbock, known as the “The Hub City”, is situated at the center of the scenic South Plains, between the Permian Basin and West Texas Panhandle. The City of Lubbock is a home rule city operating with a Council-Manager form of government. Lubbock seeks a creative, visionary leader with advanced interpersonal skills and a passion for public service to be its next Assistant City Manager – Development Services to oversee the 
Development Services, Public Works (including Water, Wastewater, Solid Waste, and Landfill utilities) and Engineering Divisions. 

The ideal candidate must have a degree in engineering, urban planning, or a related field and have seven or more years of progressively responsible municipal government experience, including five years’ experience at a department head level or higher is required. A Master’s degree in public administration or business administration is preferred.
