Yukon Assistant City Manager, Tammy Kretchmar
Named 2017 Don Rider Award Winner
Award honors state’s most outstanding municipal official

TULSA – Tammy Kretchmar, Yukon Assistant City Manager, is the recipient of the 2017 Don Rider Award. She was presented the award during last night’s Oklahoma Municipal League Annual Awards Banquet.

Tammy is the twenty-ninth recipient of the award, which honors the late Don Rider, former OML executive director. The award named in his memory recognizes a local official who has made outstanding long-term commitments to his or her community.

Tammy began her public service in Yukon in the Parks and Recreation department.  In 1997, Tammy was an Administrative Assistant; in 2010, she was named Assistant City Manager.  She is currently a member of the International City/County Management Association, City Management Association of Oklahoma, International Council of Shopping Centers, Board of Directors for Canadian County United Way, the Integris Foundation Board, and a Past President of Central Oklahoma’s Frontier Country Marketing Association. 

In her role as Assistant City Manager, Tammy has made great strides to improve the City of Yukon.  Tammy is also a vital part of Yukon’s Christmas in the Park, Fourth of July Freedom Fest, and Rock the Route. Because of her strive to better her community, OML is proud to honor her with the Don Rider Award.
